Photo tips for the best engraving

  • Use a well-lit photo where faces are clear and in focus.
  • Phone photos work well. Close-ups engrave with the most detail.
  • Avoid screenshots, heavy filters and very small images (under about 300 px wide).
  • Stay within the size's recommended number of people or pets; more can engrave flatter.
  • Not sure? Add 3D Proof Review and approve your design before we engrave.
  • Optional 3D proof: approve your design before we engrave
  • Gift box included; add a light base, card or gift bag

30-Day Guarantee: if it arrives damaged or defective, or doesn't match your approved proof, we'll remake it free or refund you.

Made just for you, so all sales are final and orders can't be cancelled once placed. That's why we offer 3D proofs and our 30-day guarantee. Refund policy

FAQ

What if my photo is blurry or dark?

We prepare every photo before engraving, but we can't add detail that isn't there: a blurry or dark photo gives a softer engraving. If you're unsure, check 3D Proof Review and we'll show you the design before we engrave.

Will it look exactly like the preview?

The on-screen preview shows how your photo is placed in the shape. The finished engraving is a frosted white 3D image inside clear crystal, so it won't look like a printed photo.

Will the 3D image fade, scratch off, or will the crystal turn yellow?

Your image is permanently engraved inside premium K9 optical crystal using a precision 3D subsurface laser—not UV-printed on the surface. The engraving won’t peel, scratch off, or fade with normal use. Unlike plastics that can yellow over time, K9 optical glass is naturally resistant to UV-related yellowing, helping your crystal stay clear and beautiful for years.

What is a 3D proof and how long do I have?

Check 3D Proof Review while you personalize and we'll email you a 3D preview before engraving. You have 3 days to approve it or ask for changes. If we don't hear back within 3 days, we go ahead with production. A proof may add a few days to delivery.

Can I add text to my engraving?

Yes. Add up to 40 characters, such as names, a date or a short message. Our designers choose the font, size and placement for the best result.

Can I cancel or return my order?

Because each crystal is made just for you, all sales are final and orders can't be cancelled once placed. Our 30-Day Guarantee covers crystals that arrive damaged or defective, are the wrong item, or don't match your approved proof: we remake them free or refund you. Read the refund policy.
